Front of House Team Member

We are on a mission to make Brissie, and Hospo a better place which means we’re always on the lookout for exceptional team members who have a passion for food, cocktails & wine, and are motivated to deliver a memorable and unique experience.

Things have been a little crazy here lately and we are on the look out a new Front of House Team Member to join the team.

We are a little neighbourhood wine bar in the heart of West End.

Now in our 3rd year we are really hitting our straps now.

We know who we are, what we want, what we like and what we don’t.

We are only a small team with a hands on ownership team so you must be a great fit with the amazing team we have built here. This is critical as all existing team members sign off on any new hires.

You must be capable of bringing the energy as we get pretty busy and have a very specific expectation of customer experience.

‍As part of the team you will get:

‍Applicants will as a minimum need to:
- Be really fun to hang out with,
- Not take yourself too seriously or be too precious.
- Say what you mean, mean what you say. Even when it is hard to hear.
- Able to fit in well with the existing team (this is crucial!) The team signs off on all new team members.
- Ability to keep calm under pressure, things go wrong in hospo and one little issue can't ruin your night.
- Not have a "that's not my job" kind of attitude. That won't fly around here, we are a small, tight knit team and everything pitches in to get it done!

‍We have a few Role Specific Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years front of house experience in a similar venue, dealing with fast paced environments
- Strong experience as a section waiter in a similar venue (this is a must - if you have not had experience in this we ask that you do please not apply at the moment)
- Able to handle turning tables. We do 90+ people a night in a 50 seat restaurant so you must be willing and able to flip a table.
- Strong vibes. We are big on hospitality, not just service.
- Experience around wine and wine knowledge and willing to learn more
- Availability Tuesday to Saturday.

The role will commence as a casual position with around 25 hours to begin with.
